The Police Regional Office (PRO-6) said 4,247 PNP personnel are expected to cast their votes in the local absentee voting (LAV) for the 2022 national and local elections on April 27, 28 and 29, 2022.
Lieutenant Colonel Arnel Solis, PRO-6 spokesperson, said that they are expecting a 100 percent turnout in local absentee voters among their ranks.
Over 30,000 policemen nationwide are expected to participate in the three-day local absentee voting
“Sa ating mga kapulisan na mag avail ng 3-day LAV, go to your designated LAV area early and vote wisely,” Solis said.
The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) recorded the most number of LAV registered voters at 1,745. These include NOCPPO personnel and members of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6’s 604th, 605th and Reconnaissance companies.
The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) has 1,714 voters to include the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6’s 601st, 603rd, and 606th mobile companies, TSC, the PRO-6 regional headquarters, national support units, and the Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit (RPHAU).
Among those who voted on April 28 was Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo, Western Visayas police chief.
Meanwhile, Aklan PPO registered 311 local absentee voters; Capiz PPO, to include 602nd RFMB with 211; Antique PPO with 173; and Guimaras PPO with 93.
In a statement, the Iloilo PPO said it will take advantage of the opportunity for their personnel to exercise their right of suffrage days before the May 9 polls.
PNP members will be deployed starting May 7, 2022 to the designated polling precincts.
