THE Provincial Government of Davao Occidental has further relaxed its Covid-19 restrictions as cases continue to decline.
Governor Franklin Bautista Davao issued Executive Order (EO) No. 15 series of 2022 or the “guidelines for the fight against Covid-19” in the province under Alert Level 2 as of September 13, 2022.
According to the EO, the province-wide curfew and liquor ban are adjusted from 12 midnight to 3 a.m. the following day. During the period, no liquor and any alcoholic or intoxicating substance shall be sold, served, or consumed in public places.
Minimum public health standards will also remain, including wearing face masks inside crowded places or in air-conditioned areas.
Face shields will also be required in high-risk areas like hospitals and facilities catering Covid-19 patients.
In addition, all Covid-19 border control points will be dismantled.
Work in the private and government offices will be at full capacity on site for fully vaccinated individuals. Partially and unvaccinated individuals will be required to undergo rapid antigen tests or RT-PCR testing every two weeks at their own expense.
For mass gatherings, the province will allow 70 percent capacity in face-to-face classes.
Meanwhile, the operation of cockfights, lotto, casino, and other gambling establishments are strictly prohibited.
According to the Provincial Health Office, the active cases, as of September 17, are at 10. Based on the Covid-19 tracker of the Department of Health, the province has not recorded any cases for the past 14 days. RGL
