Dr. Mary Jean Loreche, chief pathologist of the Department of Health in Central Visayas (DOH 7), told SunStar Cebu that the region only logged eight new Covid cases on May 25, 2022, or 16 days after 2022 elections.
This brought the total number of active cases to 84.
Of the new cases, Loreche said four were recorded in Cebu Province, two in Cebu City, and one each in Talisay City and Negros Oriental.
Loreche earlier said they would have to wait for at least two weeks to see if a surge will occur. (MKG)
