The number of police personnel in Western Visayas already inoculated with Covid-19 vaccines had already reached 6,354, as of Aug. 8, the PNP Health Service records show.
Of the vaccinated police officers, 4,500 have been full vaccinated, while 1,854 have gotten their first dose, it added.
The remaining 7,175 others are still waiting to get vaccinated, the report added.
The PNP Health Service recorded 1,248 police personnel infected by Covid-19 in Western Visayas since last year and up to August 8, of which 1,074, including non-uniformed personnel, have already recovered, with 169 others still recovering, and five deaths. The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office ranked second with the most number of vaccinated police officers, who completed their second dose at 801, behind the Iloilo Police Provincial Office at 827, PRO6 regional headquarters – 597, Capiz PPO – 553, Iloilo City Police Office – 534, Antique PPO – 374, Bacolod City Police Office – 373, Aklan PPO – 341, Guimaras PPO – 99, and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 -16.*
