Presidential aspirant former Senator Ferdinand Marcos and Vice-presidential hopeful Davao City Sara Duterte yesterday responded to the call for help of Negrenses by initially turning over the 500 sacks of rice and hundreds of cartons of canned goods and noodles for the typhoon victims in southern Negros.

In a dialog with Negros Occidental mayors and Vice Gov. Jeffrey Ferrer, Marcos and Duterte Carpio listened to their concerns, especially those from badly affected municipalities and cities in 5th and 6th districts.

The tandem also promised more aid for the victims as soon as they can gather more donations.

League of Municipalities of the Philippines national president Luis Chavit Singson, mayor of Narvacan, Ilocus Sur, yesterday said that he also gave P50,000 each to 19 municipalities in Negros Occidental.
