Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya – A 23-year-old carnapper has been arrested by local police during a hot pursuit operation in Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya over the weekend.
Authorities identified the suspect as Clarence Cabeson, a farmer and resident of Barangay Poblacion in the said town.
The operation stemmed from the complaint of a male victim at the Diadi Police Station, that his Honda Click 125 motorcycle had been stolen along with his mobile phone.
Based on the police report, the victim also bared that that the suspect (Cabeson) was initially sleeping at his house, and allegedly stole the motorcycle whilst the victim was asleep.
Cabeson was then tracked by police at a waiting shed resting, and was later spotted at Barangay Nagsabaran where the chase started leading to his apprehension.

Local police disclosed that they were able to seize a loaded calliber .38 revolver without a serial number along with the stolen motorcycle and mobile phone.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Diadi Police Station and will be facing charges for violation of RA 10883 or New Anti-Carnapping Law; as well as RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. TNF
