Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – A 39-year-old butcher has been arrested by local police in Barangay Caritan Centro, Tuguegarao City on Sunday, Oct 9 for allegedly selling metamphetamine hydrochloride or ‘shabu.’

Authorities have identified the suspect as Jaymar Bunagan, a resident of Barangay Cataggaman Pardo in the said city.

Based on the police report, Bunagan was apprehended in a buy-bust operation conducted along Alley C in Caritan Centro on Sunday morning.

The suspect’s arrest yielded the confiscation of 4 plastic sachets of the illegal drug with an estimated street value of P10,000 along with the buy bust money; a coin purse; and 3 keypade mobile phones.

Bunagan is now in the custody of the city’s police station and will be facing charges for the violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002. TNF
