Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – Apart from Tropical Depression ‘Maymay’ within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the state weather bureau said on Tuesday, Oct 11, that it is monitoring another one 1,730kms east of Eastern Visayas currently moving North – NorthEastward.
The oncoming second weather disturbance under observation by Pagasa is currently packing max winds of up to 45kph and gusts reaching 55kph as of early Tuesday.
According to Pagasa’s report, the tropical depression may enter the country Thursday and will be assigned its domestic name ‘Neneng.’
Currently forecast to be moving North NorthEastward at a speed of 35kph, the weather agency said its track is yet to change as well as its intensity given the space its travelling on the Pacific Ocean.
Although its approach to the country draws near, Pagasa clarified that the new weather disturbance still has no direct impact to the Philippines.
Meanwhile, the initial tropical depression ‘Maymay’ which is now within PAR, is expected to make landfall over Aurora or Northern Quezon province by Wednesday afternoon or evening as it continues its movement towards central Luzon.
Presently, Signal No.1 is hoisted over Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Aurora, Nueva Ecija & northern Quezon, while the provinces of Cagayan, Isabela, Batanes and Apayao are also expected to experience heavy with at times intense rainfall, while moderate to heavy rains are seen to pour over Kalinga, Aurora, Abra, Mountain Province and Ilocos Norte.
