Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – Presidential aspirant and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno said on Wednesday, that President Duterte’s former Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) head Vince Dizon has jumped to their campaign team.
However, Malacañang has disproved the claim of Moreno’s camp.
Moreno team’s campaign strategist Lito Banayo said Dizon will be their head of statistical research and deputy campaign manager and added that they hired Dizon to support their campaign plans.
Banayo said in a statement, “Nagpaalam siya kay PRRD nung mid-October, then flew to US with his family for a breather.”
CNN Philippines has also reported that a source told them that Dizon has been aiding in the communications leg as well as branding and imaging of Moreno’s team.
Meanwhile, acting Presidential spokesman Karlo Nograles said on Thursday that Dizon is still with the Cabinet serving as COVID-19 adviser even as he resigned from the BCDA.
Until now, Dizon has not given a comment to the media on this stance on the situation reported by Moreno’s camp.
Provided that Dizon has joined Moreno’s team, he will be the third former official from the government to have made an alliance with the Moreno campaign along with Banayo who was the chair of the Manila Economic Cultural Office and MMDA GM Tim Orbos. TNF
