Dayrit expressed his full support for the program conducted by the Animal Welfare Committee.
He also planning to have a committee in Central Luzon to improve the welfare of animals.
“I will support your endeavors in this because I know it is very challenging with the limitations in logistical problems and manpower issues. We should also create a committee composed of the different government agencies and allow participation of the private sectors,” Dayrit said.
Uera shared that the Animal Welfare Week will last for three days.
Various activities prepared by the Department will also be expected such as the distribution of free vitamins, vaccines, and deworming.
On the second day, there will be an orientation through the Zoom application and a talk about Republic Act No. 8485 will be conducted.
On the third day, 50 dogs will receive a free spay as part of the Animal Welfare Week celebration held at the Pampanga Provincial Veterinary Office.
