Though a centenarian, Ibay remains physically strong as she can still walk by herself. Her family members have reached more than a hundred having given birth to 18 children who had their own children and great-grandchildren.
Ibay is one of the beneficiaries of the ?100,000 incentive under the one-time cash incentive program of the Provincial Government led by Governor Dennis Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia Pineda.
The ?100,000 check was presented to Lola Ibay and her family by Second District Board Members Fritzie David Dizon and Sajid Khan Eusoof.
The incentive program is given under Ordinance 647 which provides living senior citizens who are 95 years old and above a P100,000 cash incentive and a plaque of appreciation.
Initially, only those who have reached 100 years old were entitled to receive the incentive.
Ordinance 647 or the Senior Citizens Code was then amended by the Provincial Board, lowering the age of the beneficiaries from 100 to 95 years old.
Pampanga pioneered the distribution of cash incentives to centenarians worth P100,000.
