Pampanga mayors attended the NEO Orientation Course entitled: Prime Leaders for Renewed Local Governance designed for Re-Elected Municipal Mayors of Region III.
In support of LGUs and their elected leaders, DILG through the Local Government Academy (LGA), has organized the Program for the Re-Elected Officials (NEOs).
The program provides harmonized and holistic capacity development interventions to assist re-elected Local Chief Executives (LEs) in continuing their practice of good governance towards excellent service delivery to their constituents.
Highlights of NEO orientation course include the review of salient features of the Local Government Code and the duties, responsibilities, accountabilities, and key attributes of good local governance
It also covers the identification of new approaches and tools to improve adaptability and resilience and revitalize the economy while traversing the COVID-19 era and the constantly changing times.
The last agenda is the adaptation of a leadership skill set to advance transformational and strategic actions towards improving management systems, structures, and processes for efficient and equitable delivery of public goods and services.
