CLARK Development Corporation (CDC) has once again urged irresponsible bikers and visitors to practice discipline and avoid littering whenever they visit Clark Freeport.

Despite the call and efforts of the state-owned firm for responsible waste disposal, some bikers and visitors continue to leave their trash in various places of the Freeport. Even in areas where trash bins are visible and accessible, rubbish was still seen.

CDC President and Chief Executive Officer Manuel Gaerlan asked for the full cooperation of all residents, employees, locators, including visitors, to do their part in keeping Clark clean and green.

“We trust that all our stakeholders will join us in making Clark a conducive place to live, work, and play,” Gaerlan said.

Prior to this, the CDC issued a memorandum circular dated July 20, 2021 that orders the imposition of fines on litterers and violators.

Under the memorandum, anyone caught littering shall be charged with fines ranging from P1,000 to P200,000, depending on the type of offense.

Gaerlan also said that all stakeholders are accountable for keeping their surroundings tidy and organized.

Meanwhile, bikers are reminded to be responsible for their own garbage whenever they stop at convenience stores or other places to relax after cycling.

For their convenience, designated trash bins are already deployed in strategic locations especially in the most frequented areas in Clark Freeport.

CDC believes that in keeping the Freeport clean and orderly, a collaborative effort and cooperation from the general public are important.
