THE Central Luzon Department of Agriculture (DA) conducted another technical briefing regarding the upcoming implementation of its Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa (BP2) Program on July 27 at Benigno Aquino Hall, Capitol Compound in the City of San Fernando.

The activity aims to gather the agricultural livelihood needs of farmers and fishermen in Central Luzon who are affected by climate hazard vulnerability, or those who have experienced losses in their livelihoods due to unforeseen disasters and to record such livelihoods, which may be funded by said program.

Under Executive Order 114 or BP2 Program, the government’s goal is to have a balanced lift in all regions, ensure comfort in rural areas and improve initiatives toward achieving stable and prosperous communities.

Among the recorded livelihood projects that can be provided to the beneficiaries are mushroom production, duck production, goat raising, community gardening, chicken production and goat raising, among others.

The Institutional Development Unit of DA-Central Luzon facilitated the said activity under the leadership of their Chief Evelyn Fernando. It was attended by local government unit representatives, municipal agriculturists and farmers in the province of Pampanga.

The activity was previously launched in the provinces of Nueva Ecija and Aurora which is expected to continue in the remaining provinces in Central Luzon.
