THE Davao City Economic Enterprise (CEE) proposed to celebrate a face-to-face ‘Undas’ this November 2022.
“Mao ni among gina-propose kay murag mobalik naman ta sa normal. Among pagahisgutan [with Mayor Sebastian Z. Duterte] ang preparation para sa Undas 2022. Pila naman gud ta katuig nga wala gyud ta nag-celebrate sa undas (We are proposing a face-to-face observance since we are slowly going back to normal. We will talk about the preparation of the Undas 2022 soon with the City Mayor since it has been two years since we have celebrated it),” Maximo Macalipes, Jr., City Economic Enterprise Office–In-Charge, said during the I-Speak Program on August 25, 2022.
In 2020, in compliance with Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) Resolution 72 Series of 2020 as a health measure against Covid-19, former Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio issued September 23 Executive Order (EO) 52, ordering the closure of cemeteries and columbariums for seven days from October 29 to November 4, 2020, during the observance of All Souls’ Day and All Saints’ Day.
