According to the City Health Office, of the three new cases, two were local index cases and one was a local case with link.
City Health Office medical officer Dr. Teodoro Yu Jr. said that the two local index cases involved a 30-year-old male from Barangay Gusa and a 29-year-old male from the Barangay Canitaon. Both of them are vaccinated and are currently isolated at the city’s isolation unit.
The lone local case with link was a vaccinated five-year-old male from Barangay Puntod who is currently admitted at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center.
The total number of Cagayan de Oro’s active cases is now at 12, of which one was admitted at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center, 10 were outpatients and one returning overseas Filipino (ROF).
The total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro is now at 24,933.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in Cagayan de Oro remains at 941 in total, with no new Covid-related deaths recorded in the city.
