THE number of new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro is still low, as the city recorded only one new Covid-19 case, the City Health Office reported Friday, June 3, 2022.
This brought the number of Covid-19 cases in the city to 25,864.
According to the City Health Office medical officer Dr. Teodoro Yu Jr., the one new local index case involve an unvaccinated 71-year-old female from Barangay Gusa who is currently admitted in a hospital in the city.
Cagayan de Oro’s active cases have also gone down to two, of which one was admitted to a hospital in Cagayan de Oro and the other was an outpatient.
The city’s total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro is at 24,921, while the number of Covid-19 deaths in the city remains at 941 in total.
