The increase in the number of new cases recorded in the city in the past few days brought the number of active Covid cases to 794, 194 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and other hospitals in the city, 572 were outpatients, and 28 ROFs/LSIs.
City Health Office medical officer Dr. Ted Yu said of the 154 new cases, two were locally stranded individuals (LSIs), five were returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs), and 147 were local transmissions.
Of the 147 new local cases, 99 were local index cases, 30 were local cases with link, 15 were authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and two were Apors with link.
The city also recorded one mortality.
The cumulative number of infections in the city is now at 21,303.
The city also registered 13 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as “recovered.” This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 19,653.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 856.
