Active cases in Oro drop as daily new cases stays below 50

THE City Health Office Wednesday, October 6, reported 33 new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), marking seven consecutive days of less than 50 daily infections.

The relatively lower cases brought the number of active Covid cases down to 1,870, 534 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 1,326 were outpatients, and 10 ROFs/LSIs.

Of the 33 new confirmed cases, 12 were local index cases, 16 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, two were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and three were Apors with link.

The 33 new local cases brought the cumulative number of infections in the city to 19,695.

Cagayan de Oro also registered 191 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as “recovered.” This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 16,997.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city remains to be at 828 with zero new Covid deaths.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated individuals who tested positive for coronavirus in Cagayan de Oro is now at 4,852.

Of the 4,852 vaccinees, 3,017 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 907 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 323 with Pfizer, 284 with Sputnik V, 292 with Janssen, six with Sinopharm, 23 with Moderna.
