The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) distributed 1,000 ChariTimba packed with essential food supplies in Barangays San Juan and Sta. Ana in Taytay, Rizal on May 8, 2025.
The activity was spearheaded by PCSO Director Janet De Leon Mercado, who personally led the distribution of food packs. In addition, PCSO provided trauma bags containing emergency supplies for disaster preparedness.
Apart from relief assistance, PCSO organized a medical and dental mission with the support of doctors, dentists, and nurses from the Medical Services Department, led by Dr. Rouel Aparato. More than 200 residents availed themselves of free medical consultations, dental checkups, and basic medicines.
This activity aligns with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s vision of making government programs accessible to grassroots communities, as PCSO remains dedicated to its mission of helping Filipinos improve their quality of life through accessible health and welfare services.
