A laborer from Davao City became one of two lucky winners who hit the jackpot in the Super Lotto 6/49 draw on April 29, 2025, sharing a total prize of 22,432,132.60 with the winning combination 24 – 02 – 10 -09 -25 -05.
In an interview, the winner shared that his numbers have been his combination since 2002. According to him, the digits are based on the birthdates of his family members. He purchased the lucky ticket at a lotto outlet in a mall in Davao City.
When asked about his plans, the new millionaire said he has yet to decide how to use the money. “Sa ngayon po hindi ko pa naiisip, kung anu ang gagawin ko sa aking napanalunan kaya pansamantala ipapasok ko muna [sa] bangko,” he said.
The winner also mentioned that he often placed bets on advanced draws, a strategy that finally worked out.
The winner claimed his prize on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City.
To claim the jackpot, winners must present their original signed ticket and two valid government-issued IDs.
In accordance with the TRAIN Law, a 20% tax will be deducted from prizes exceeding 10,000. Winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prize, after which any unclaimed winnings will be added to the PCSO charity fund for its charitable initiatives.
The Super Lotto 6/49 is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 9:00 PM, with live broadcasts on IBC TV 13 and the PCSO Games Online Hub Facebook page.
