BACOLOD City – Around P3.4 million worth of suspected shabu was seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 10 here around 4:20 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4.
Noel Palacios alias “Toto”, 22, of Purok Nangka, Barangay 3 in this city, yielded 500 grams of suspected shabu.
In a radio interview, Palacios said he was approached by a certain “Moises” and asked if he would like to earn some extra cash.
Palacios said he accepted the offer and “Moises” handed over the packages and P5,000 in cash so he could buy milk for his child.
He admitted that he was aware that the packages contained illegal drugs, although he didn’t know the exact weight and value.
Palacios is now in the custody of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Negros Occidental and is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
