ILOILO City – Three members of a family were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Zone 6, Barangay Boulevard, Molo district around 9:55 p.m. on Jan. 5.
The suspects, brothers Arnold Ignacio, 47, and Alvaro Ignacio, 45, and Alvaro’s son, Israel, 22, were all residents of the said barangay.
A police poseur buyer bought from the suspects a heat-sealed plastic sachet of suspected shabu for P6,000.
Officers of the Station Drug Enforcement Team of Molo police station led by Police Major Marlyn Roquero and Police Lieutenant Marion Asparo recovered a total of 1.5 grams of suspected shabu valued at around P10,500.
The suspects were detained at the Molo police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
