AUTHORITIES seized a high-caliber handgun and several sachets of suspected shabu from a 36-year-old businessman in Bukidnon recently.
Bukidnon Police Director Reynante Reyes identified the suspect as Oliver Salga III, married, and a resident of Purok 17, Barangay Casisang, Malaybalay City of the same province.

He was arrested by personnel assigned at Malaybalay City Police Station led by Police Capt. Joseph Galupo in a buy-bust operation conducted at Purok 2, Barangay Casisang of the said city at 12:30 noon last Friday.
Confiscated from the suspect were four sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with an estimated street value of P37,244 with a total weight of 5.33 grams, a P1,000 bill, a .45 caliber pistol (Colt MK 1V), two steel magazines; five caliber .45 cartridges, four caliber .45 misfired cartridges, P1,970 cash, a portable digital weighing scale, and some personal belongings.
The suspect and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Malaybalay police to be turned over to Philippine National Police Provincial Forensic Unit for qualitative and quantitative examinations.
